I think you should explain why you are stating off with the assumption that a trade deficit is an inherent disadvantage. China gives us goods. We are better off for that. The dollars are less important than the materials we receive for those dollars, or we wouldn't be making the trades.
USA also has a 80b trade deficit with Mexico right?

Trump didn't LIE!! Now let's see how Biden will fix this!!!
Need to include services and also break down of imports from non-chinese companies that put together goods in China.
40% tariffs on all Chinese goods would end this. #decouplefromchina
I really thought that US is independent when it comes to products and services but it is clear to me now that china is really the sources of most products we are buying
Trade imbalance? I buy my apples from cheapest source , regardless of where they’re from . Not a problem to me
To dodge the tariffs Chinese companies are already investing in countries like Vietnam who benefitted from the tariffs on Chinese imports.
Also, posessing so many US currency reserves makes China itself highly invested in the value of the US dollar, and as there is no other viable world reserve currency as yet, China liquidating lots of US dollars is unlikely.

I think we, in America should make Japan our best friend in trade, :/ but idk how that's possible..
Japan is a good country, and Americans love their culture, and vice versa, we shouldn't be trading so much with nations that hurt people for existing…
No country of the top 5 economies can win a trade war with each other. That is mutual destruction and destruction of the global economy for the next 25 years.
Nothing to explain. The americans spent more than the Chinese. The US imports more cheap goods from China to satisfy the americans' demands. The americans are incompetent in business than the Chinese. And these factors caused a deficit in the US trades with China.
Now China wins again #They own America #Congrats
